The next time we saw them, we told Vince and Sharon that they were a bad influence on us, but really, like I said; Don had been monitoring the used car market for awhile. So it was no huge surprise that when we went to Irvine Valley College the following Saturday to browse the carfaire (CarFair.com) that Don spotted the perfect car. As with the PT Cruiser experience, we spotted the car on our way out of the fair–the owner waiting to register it. If we could have decided quickly, we could have spared the seller some $75.00, but we needed time to transition from “market-monitoring” mode to “shopping” mode. Although, I do think it was love at first sight for Don.
We left the carfaire and headed to Newport Beach. Instead of a ride across the ferry, we headed for the central library's used book store, Don all the while struggling. Did he want that car? Should he go back and take another look?
At the library he decided it wouldn’t hurt to look the car up on the Internet. “Well, shoot. It does look like a pretty good deal. Do you think we could go back and drive it?”
So, here is Don’s new 2005 RSX Acura.
Calling the owner to ask if we can drive it.
Let's see if they'll give us dollars for the seller.
Yes, they will give us dollars.
Hee-heeee, and now to transfer it into our name!
