12.14.08 Dana Point 2nd visit

We visited our new boat today. It was a perfect day to look at the sails. We unfurled the jib. It looks good (sorry no pictures). Then we pulled up the main. I'm sure there is jargon for those actions that I should be using. Tim was able to sell the motor so that was gone and for the first time we noticed the boat has a name painted on it. Apparently "Sadalsuud" has been her name. Sadalsuud is the beta star of Aquarius so she may get to keep the name. (You'll recall that this boat is an "Aquarius 23") One might wonder why not "Sadalmelik", the constellation's alpha star, but Sadalsuud is "the luckiest of all of them" and is apparently just as bright.
